Porous Groundwater Systems

Depending on the task, the interpretation and evaluation of the analytical data can be limited to one parameter (e.g. groundwater level) or carried out using several parameters simultaneously (e.g. differentiation of the origin of extracted groundwater according to proportions from surface waters, infiltrating precipitation and artificial groundwater recharge).

The range of services offered by JR-AquaConSol GmbH in this context includes, among others:

• Extreme value statistical determination of high or low groundwater levels with a certain probability of occurrence
• Development of concepts for the use of water resources for which the designation of a protected area is not possible
• Preparation of annual monitoring reports for long-term self-monitoring of water quality in well catchment areas
• Development of proposals for the adaptation of protected areas including the optimization of monitoring networks
• Assessment of the impact of interventions on the underground water balance in the form of feasibility studies

The creation and application of a numerical groundwater model is usually associated with the solution of a specific problem. Regional groundwater models can also serve as a planning basis for the delineation of favorable or reserved zones. The modeling of groundwater flow can be supplemented by the simulation of the dispersion of substances dissolved in the groundwater as well as the input and displacement of heat in the subsurface.

• Calculation of well catchment areas and the distribution of groundwater flow time
• Creation and calibration of transient groundwater models for groundwater bodies of water management importance
• Prognosis of different measures (e.g. construction of new production wells, artificial groundwater recharge)

• Support in the development of measures for a groundwater compatible agricultural land use
• Development of extraction and infiltration solutions in the course of enrichment of groundwater with oxygen
